About The Pixie Bob

The Pixie Bob originated in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and is bred to look visually similar to the North American Bobcat; however, no actual bobcat was used in the creation of this truly magnificent breed. You can expect a Pixie Bob to be a laid back, affectionate, very people oriented companion displaying characteristics more commonly found in dogs. It is not unheard of that a Pixie Bob fetches, comes when called, and walks on a leash. Pixie Bobs travel very well. The most important feature of the Pixie Bob is its wild looking face with heavy brows, a large muzzle and prominent chin. Most Pixie Bobs will sport ear tufts adding to the wild allure. The Pixie Bob is a substantially boned cat with a strong, muscular body and either short hair or long hair. This breed is the only one allowed in the show ring today as a polydactyl - meaning multi-toed.
